Our designer creates sample gowns for the purpose of self expression.
She is sometimes inspired by the beauty or delicacy of a fabric, a work of art, or a unique costume in a film.
These gowns are created in standard sizes and then sold for a fraction of what a custom creation would cost. Sometimes
they have been worn by models in photo shoots, sometimes just created for the sheer joy of expressing the art of
gown making.
Sizes and prices are listed with each sample; however, larger than normal seam allowances are included and many
times, fabric scraps are available so they can usually be altered to other sizes. These gowns are sold "as
is" but we are happy to bid on doing any needed alterations if you prefer that we do them. Where as custom
commissioned gowns are not returnable, non- refundable, we offer a program where these gowns may be borrowed for
a period of 7 days so you may see the beauty in real life, feel the luxuriousness of the fabrics and see the quality
of the work.
We also have implemented a program whereby, if we still have the sample gown available, brides may borrow them
in order to see the quality of our work, the luxuriousness of the fabrics and to try the gowns on. (Sample gowns
are approximately a size 8) In order to do this, we have a contract for you to sign excepting responsibility for
the gown while it’s in your possession and that you’ll return it by its due date. We would cover ground shipping
costs for getting the gown to you. You may have it for a period of seven days and then return it to us, insured
and with a tracking number. As an assurance, the contract asks for a credit card number, on which we would put
a hold which equals the value of the gown but the charge would not actually be completed. Once we receive the gown
back in it's original condition, the hold will be released from your card. Your only expense will be shipping,
which is usually around $15.
